WOMEN CHILDREN - PROJECT UNNATI

back

When women are supported and empowered, all of society benefits. Their families are healthier, more children go to school, agricultural productivity improves and incomes increase. In short, communities become more resilient. Rigorous studies have documented that women who actively participate in self-help groups (SHG) and value added programmes have better access to money and assets available in the household, a greater sense of personal empowerment to take action in the family and community, better health practices and better nourished, healthier and educated children

BANSIDHAR & ILA PANDA FOUNDATION envisages the social transformation in the hands of women by building their capacity to handle their economic and social life themselves. through an integrated self-help approach (i.e. finance & livelihood, education, health, nutrition, sanitation & hygiene etc.) We work with these SHGs on both, the Economic Empowerment Model & Social Empowerment Model. This builds up their capacity to handle the social issues like literacy, health, nutrition, sanitation & hygiene etc. by bringing in behavior change in the community. The SHG members will then be the change agents for their community.
