Mr. Baijayant 'Jay' Panda

Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda is a former member of Lok Sabha from Kendrapara constituency, Odisha. Previously, he has also served two terms in Rajya Sabha. As a parliamentarian, he has been recognized for his many contributions. In 2008, he was given an award for best parliamentary practices by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India. He has served on Parliamentary Standing Committees on Home Affairs, Finance, Energy and Urban Development. He also chairs the India-USA Forum of Parliamentarians. Within Parliament and outside, he has championed various causes such as fighting chronic malnutrition in India and tackling human and social costs of tobacco consumption.

Mr. Subhrakant Panda

Subhrakant Panda has been the Managing Director of IMFA since 2006. Mr. Panda is the President of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), India Chapter and is an active member of the National Executive Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) besides being Chairman of FICCI’s Odisha State Council. He is only the third Indian to be elected President (2013-2015) of the Paris-based International Chromium Development Association (ICDA) and, having been acknowledged as an expert on ferro alloys, is invited to speak at various international conferences.

Ms. Paramita Mahapatra

Paramita Mahapatra is the Managing Director of UMSL Ltd, a premier infrastructure development company, and a Director on the board of IMFA. She oversees the activities of Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), established by IMFA in 1974. The trust contributes to various social causes and has instituted the annual Sarala Award for Odia literature as well as Ekalabya Puraskar for encouraging Odisha sports talent. Ms. Mahapatra is the President of the Bhubaneswar Chapter of National HRD Network. A passionate patron of art, activist, and promoter, Ms. Mohapatra is the Founder Trustee of Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA), an interactive platform for Odia artists, and a key player in the promotion and conservation of Odisha’s visual arts.

Ms. Nivedita Ganapathi

Nivedita Ganapathi is the Chief Executive of Palios Corporation. Based out of Palo Alto, California, which specializes in developing hardware and software as well as technology implementation across various industries and sectors including microelectronics, solar systems, RFID sensors, and advanced water filtration, and recycling systems. She has an LLM from Harvard Law School and has practiced in New York and California.

Prof. Ravinder Kaur

Ms. Ravinder Kaur is Professor Emerita of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where she has taught for nearly 28 years. She has also taught at New York University (USA) and Bielefeld University (Germany). She did her PhD from the Dept. of Sociology, Delhi University, and was a gold medalist in her BA and MA. She received the DSE Distinguished Alumni Award from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi in 2018. She holds a Teaching Excellence award at IIT Delhi. Her current work focuses on gender inequalities in STEM higher education. Her research has been funded by various multilateral and national organisations such as UNFPA, SIDA, IDRC, DST and ICSSR.

Dr. Aurobindo Behera, IAS (Retd.)

Dr. Aurobindo Behera has served Odisha as a District Collector, Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Secretary to Chief Minister, Secretary - Departments of Forest and Environment, ST and SC Development, Rural Development, Public Works Department, and Water Resources Department etc. He was also the Managing Director, Odisha State Disaster Management, Additional CMD, Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha and Member, Board of Revenue. He is associated with several civil society initiatives in the area of education, tribal affairs, and sanitation.

Ms. Shaifalika Panda

Ms Shaifalika Panda is the Chief of CSR (Special Initiatives) at IMFA. A firm believer in strategic and scalable interventions, she spearheaded the formation of the Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation and has been the driving force behind its impact on the lives of over 21 lakh beneficiaries. An advocate of bringing about inter-generational change through women’s interventions, Shaifalika has created a successful framework for financial and social inclusions as well as adolescent health recognised by UN agencies as a best practice. A business graduate from Boston University, Shaifalika followed her calling into social development close to 2 decades ago. Apart from having lead FICCI Young Leaders, she has also served on the board of their Socio Economic Development Council and Inclusive Governance Council. Currently, Shaifalika is chair of the G-20 Empower Working Group on Mentorship.
