"Strengthening of Urban Healthcare through Community Participation-Challenges, Prospects & Avenues" was the topic in 2018 which was organized in partnership with International NGO PATH. The discussion was focused on how essential it is to integrate the healthcare of urban poor for healthy India. Keynote speaker, Dr Sanjay Pandey, Chief Officer. "Advocacy & Partnership, Population Services International, India Office spoke about the issues and challenges in healthcare of urban poor population and contribution of Mahila Arogya Samiti, ASHA, Rogi Kalyan Samiti and Ward Kalyan Samities for effective community participation in urban health system. Other panelists included Dr Mrunal Shetye, Country Lead, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, India, Dr Lipika Nanda, Vice President, Multi Sectoral Planning in Public Health, Public Health Foundation of India, Hyderabad, Mr Sudhir. M. Diggikar, CEO, Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar and Ms Shaifalika Panda, Trustee & CEO, BIPF. Ms Sarojini Rautray, Secretary, Maa Gouri, Mahila Arogya Samiti, Saliasahi, Bhubaneswar also shared her experience and journey as a member in Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) with the audience. The discussion was moderated by Dr Rajiv Tandon, Technical Director, MNCHN+A, PATH India.
