Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship (PGDS)

Prof. Ghanashyam Dash (1902 - 1959), father of Late Mrs. Ila Panda, was a scholar and historian of international repute. After graduating from London University, he was associated with several educational institutions in Odisha including Ravenshaw College as a Professor and Gangadhar Meher College & Fakir Mohan College as the Principal.

Recipients with Parents

The PGDS has been instituted in the memory of Prof. Dash to facilitate higher education in the field of engineering, medicine and liberal arts. In total, six scholarships are awarded - two for the children of permanent employees of IMFA and four for the meritorious students from economically weak families who are permanently domiciled in Odisha. The scholarship covers 90% of the academic fees and eligible expenses for the entire duration of 4year course subject to an annual limit of Rs 1,50,000/- (Rupees one lakh fifty thousand only) i.e. maximum of upto Rs 6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakh only) per recipient.
