"Immunization for All: Improving Child Health"

‘Immunization for All: Improving Child Health’ was the topic in 2016 which was organized in partnership with Global Health Strategies (GHS). The objective was to discuss & highlight the importance of immunization in improving child health, explore the challenges faced for vaccines uptake at the grassroots level & explore the role that Civil Society Organizations (CSO) play in ensuring all children are able to access simple interventions such as immunization. It also aimed to find ways in which vaccine awareness can be raised and how interventions can become more accessible across all levels of society.

The panel discussion was moderated by Dr Supriya Bezbaruah, Senior Director, Global Health Strategies. On the panel were Dr T Jacob John, Emeritus Professor, Christian Medical College, Vellore, Dr Hemanta Kumar Mishra, Additional Director of Child Ideate 2015 Health, State Expanded Program of Immunization, Government of Odisha, Mr Joe Madiath, Founder, Gram Vikas, Dr Rajiv Tandon, Technical Director - Maternal Neonatal and Child Health and Nutrition, PATH and Dr Amir Ullah Khan, Policy Advisor, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
